Yellow

Here's Betsy on the way home from a party after school. She is exhausted I think, and doing too much. Softball, Tag Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball and of course everything at school. Sometimes she goes to school at 7.45am and doesn't come home until 5pm. She has homework a couple of times a week and has just finished practice Sats in time for getting ready for real Sats.

Her voice is always croaky and today she said she is hungry all the time. I'd like her to stop every single before and after school club next term. She's been at her school since she was four years old and it would be nice for her to just relax and enjoy her last term there without feeling exhausted. I suggested this and she said okay, but I still want to do softball. And Cricket. And Basketball. And maybe I'd like to start Athletics again as it's summer term.

I know I sound like an oldie but when I was at Primary school all we were expected to do after school was watch Blue Peter.
