ever wondered what its like to be a borrower...?
Tommy had a mild case of 'choke' this morning which thankfully happened whilst my sister (tommy's owner) was feeding and not myself. Vet called although he managed to clear it before the vet arrived.
Usual procedure would be to stable them without food to stop it happening again although this is not possible as they live out. So, it was a case of multiple laps around the field on the end of a rope to stop him from eating and to monitor his food intake for the rest of the day.
I was on feed duty this evening so hay and food soaked for all 3 horses (they like to swap sometimes), then began the long wait until they'd finished their tea. So, poo picking completed, rugs straightened, mornings hay soaked then nothing to do but photograph. I wish I'd taken the camera although it was fun creeping up on the horses to pap them from odd angles.
Tommy decided he wanted to be more interactive with the photographer so once licked my face and then turned his focus to the phone itself.
At least he ate without getting anything stuck in his throat. Silly pony
