Design day.
I woke up to my phone ringing at 6am this morning and thinking it was my alarm I silenced it and attempted to go back to sleep. It rang straight after and I realised it was Sharoll calling me. I answered and poor Danny had been knocking at the door for a good while and we had all been so fast asleep that we didn't hear a thing.
I jumped out of bed, met Danny and showed him to his bed. Then it was back to sleep. My alarm sounded (for real) at 9am but having already woken up a few hours previous and still feeling rather sleepy I fell straight back to sleep. Consequently we missed out Spanish class :/ Somehow we woke up at 10.15, making it just a little too late to get sorted and go to class so we texted our teacher and decided to go for tucumanas instead.
Just as we finished our breakfast Sharoll and Ivan arrived and were pleasantly surprised to find us hanging around the flat. After explaining ourselves we spent the rest of the day working on the magazine design and washing up our constant mess of a flat.
Danny didn't wake until after 2. We spent some time getting to know each other and Helena and I made him some coca tea to help with the altitude. Then the hunger became too much and Helena, Carina, Sharoll and me headed to the feminist cafe just next door for some typical Bolivian foods. It's ridiculouisly cheap there and I ended up having lunch, chocolate cake and hot chocolate for just over £2.
On the way back to the flat, in the lift, poor Carina turned white as a ghost all of a sudden and became really poorly. Something clearly didn't agree with her and she ended up spending the rest of the afternoon in bed. This didn't stop us all heading to the chifa (chinese) downstairs for dinner where I had the best chinese food I've had since being at home! Sadly we forgot to collect our leftovers to bring home.
