Kennedy Space Centre

Spent the morning at the conference and then in the afternoon drove over to the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral with my students - this place is awesome - we got to see the take off sites, many of the original rockets, shuttles and most importantly the original Saturn 5 - I just had no concept how small the capsule was which holds the three astronauts - anyone suffering from claustrophobia need not apply - these people were immensely brave and the scientists working on designing such feats of engineering amazing - it was an awe inspiring day.

So much wildlife was in evidence as well, gators, turtles, turkeys, buzzards, golden eagles, armidallos, and a few dead possum!

Topped off the day with outlet shopping - we were still going strong at 10.30 pm tonight which does not bode well for getting up early to go swim with the manatees tomorrow
