Challenge!

This map took up almost the whole wall. I like the way it looks like the sun in the middle of the country.

The challenge is...

What's wrong with this map of Thailand?
(I use wrong loosely, as it's not necessarily wrong, just a different way of looking at it.)

It took me a few seconds to figure it out, and I live here, so you might have to think about it some, or maybe you know already. :)

If it's got you stumped, I'll give the answer tomorrow.
