Head in the cloud

Another day, another flight! My March will definitely be aerial... In Rochester for a conference. The joys of recycled air, weird carpet designs (seriously, who chooses the carpets in convention centers and what are they on?), and of course, interesting papers in city you probably wouldn't otherwise. And the possibility of room service.

The first panel I went to was about creative writing in academia. When it comes down to it, it really isn't that different on either side of the borders: us crazy creative writers/PhDs are weirdos that don't exactly fit in one single category.
