Family time!

What started off to be a Mummy & Evie dinner date turned out to be a family trip out! Colin was meant to be working, May was at Annie's house and Elliot was going to auntie Kate's... although May came home early (there were too many older children at Annie's house and she freaked out!!) Colin decided to finish work early to join us so I thought I'd bring Elliot the restaurant hater with us!!! And what a super terrific time we had!!! It's family time like this that goes down in the memory bank!!!

Although this morning and yesterday weren't great. After I blipped yesterday I went to hospital to see Grandma and was greeted by her, very dazed and confused, with tubes going in and out every part of her body which was a great shock. They scanned her yesterday and found a mass in her bowel. so today she was put on the emergency list for an operation to remove it and then it will be sent for a biopsy.

I got to the hospital this morning at 9.30 and stayed until 1.30. In that time we travelled most of the hospital. She had to have a PICC line put in which is a tube that gets pushed in her arm and sits just above her heart. Then she needed X-rays to make sure it was in the right place, then she has to get prepped for theatre.

I'm meant to be on a girly weekend as of tomorrow but at the moment I'm not sure I'll go. It's only 45 minutes down the road but the guilt is already eating me up.... Let's see how things pan out.
