A funny story about Loch Lomond rescue boats

These in shore rescue teams do a wonderful job on the Loch
Ayoung guy who is very clever but not very street wise was working as a trainee reporter for the local rag. He was sent out with them on a training exercise to do a report.
The team were jumping into the water while speeding across the loch and the young guy was up front with the driver as they went through the safety procedures and was fascinated how to drive the boat.
At one point the driver said "would you like to try it", at this point the young man jumped over the side so a real rescue had to be done.
Yes you have guessed it the driver was asking if he wanted to steer the boat.
Minutes later a mate of mine who worked for the same newspaper phoned me and he could not talk for laughing ,eventually he said "you will never guess what **** did"
talk of the steamy he was but to this day denies it ever happened,it was all over facebook in minutes
