The Postman has no chance at all of delivering and getting back the other side of the gate without them knowing, incredible hearing.

As for the window cleaner, they both hate him.
Jane had to shut them in the bedroom, the dogs that is and then move them around the house as he follows cleaning the windows of the room they were in.

It takes them about an hour to calm down after he has left.
