Lunch at Queensferry
Now that I've retired, Irene and I are going to try to 'do something' on Wednesdays.
We didn't do anything super, super exciting today, but went for a pleasant lunch down at Queensferry - hence the bridge and the bridge paintings/memorabilia in the background.
I was at my writing class in the evening where we read out our short (500 word) stories - and had the wonderful experience of everyone gasping at the last sentence of my tale. Just as I hoped they would. It was great to have produced that reaction. Very satisfying. (And very untypical - most of what I write is pretty average)
