Full now and feeling sssssleepy. Watching Swansea: Living on the streets. Apparently Swansea is the homeless capital of Wales. It's depressing viewing to be honest. Feel sorry for some of them, but some of them are not helping themselves! One drinks 15L of cider a day and has gout due to his drinking, which means his health problems get him right to the top of the list for a free flat. Then when he got his flat, which was brand new and lovely...the idiot had a huge party on the first day which got out of control so he got chucked out! I mean, come on!!
Health problems I can understand.....self inflicted health problems? Stop drinking 15L of cider a day!! It is annoying that he got priority over others more in need, for example a woman got turned away from a hostel so he could have a bed, despite women being far more at risk on the streets. She can't help being a woman but he could help his health.
Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless people in Swansea but there are also a lot of resources for them too. Centres, soup kitchens, sandwich vans and places to go for breakfast. But which came first?
