Between fen and mountains

Daffodils

There may be too many daffodil blips but I am allowed to do one - read on. The daffodil pickers are out and there are clumps to be found on the dyke banks where they have naturalised after previous crops. The district of South Holland on the fens, as its name may suggest, is famous for its bulb production, formerly tulips, but now daffodils. The local primary school planted the whole village with bulbs about ten years ago and they hit you in the eye wherever you turn. These are in a little glade near the edge of the village.

Nb My daffs do not suffer any droop at all unlike Clarabel's.
