Once the tallest building in London

I was at a meeting this afternoon in New Cavendish Street, right next to the BT Tower. It seems funny now to think that until 1980 this was the tallest building in London.

Its height is 189 metres. The Shard by London Bridge, when completed in May, will be 310 metres tall!
