A Wink
to someone in the crowd. This is the lead singer of a rather fab band from Stockholm, Sweden called Tantrum to Blind. They were the first support band for Yashin last night. Oh yes another gig, this time at The Waterfront making it two in a week and the body is protesting just a little. All very worth it though :)
Yesterday also marked Asha's 19th birthday. I did ask (over & over & over & over again) if she was okay with me going to the gig last night and she inisisted that it was fine. I am still going to cook her a special dinner at the weekend though, so we can have a proper family celebration. She had a really good day, she spent the day in the city with her sister Josie who treated her to lunch at Frankie & Benny's and spent the evening skype-ing with her friend Lydia who's studying art at uni, which one I can't remember.
It's hard to believe that this time last year she was celebrating her 18th birthday in Addenbrookes hospital waiting for the infection count to go low enough so that she could have another operation to fit a replacement shunt in her head. She is still doing incredibly well, her hair has grown loads (even if it's not growing quickly enough for her liking), she has a job and she is actually enjoying life again. What a difference a year makes.
