Nellah, pure bred Shetland Black

I have six sheep ( hardly a farmer!), one is a beautiful Cheviot and five are purebred Shetland sheep I am not as yet intending to breed from them but will keep that as an option as I would like to have ALL the different colours of the Shetland breed.
One thing I also intend to do is get three Jacob Sheep. Their wool Is amazing and comes in various patterns. They also make good mothers.
Oh and.....I won't be eating them!!!!!

Nellah who you see above is the most timid of the flock. I have a feeling she may have been kept outdoors on a hill apportionment since a lamb and not been in much contact with people. This could easily explain her shyness.

Today they actually recognized the sound of my car as I was approaching with food!!All their little heads got up from the ground and they began to "baa". I was a very proud mummy at that point!
