Red and current

I love my flowering currant bush though the smell (tom cats) can be off putting!). In my garden it's the first shrub to blossom and it's a sure sign of Spring. I've never photographed a blossom so close up before and it's truly amazing what covers those tiny magenta petals. I'm really chuffed with this shot, hope you like it too. If the Mahonia and the other yellow thingy are true to timetable we'll take a close look at those next week.

Mrs B has just advised me that it's her garden when there's work to be done and mine when I'm showing it off. She could be right!
