Charlie Bubbles

Charlie Bubbles DVD about to be posted back to Lovefilm. Watched it last night having not seen it for ages. If you love Manchester and want to see it at it's grimy glorious 1967 best see this. Shelagh Delaney novel directed by and starring absolutely brilliant Albert Finney and fabulous debut by Liza Minelli. Most amusing bit iis seeing 'Wally' (I think) from Hilda Baker's 'Nearest and Dearest' as waiter in brand spanking new Piccadilly Plaza Hotel. Lots of other faces. Only criticism is usual 'northern' stereotype of that era.
