Embroiled in Tech

It has been one of those nights Cathintheattic has a project that is going live in a couple of days and there were a few technical issues that needed to be resolved. Now if I had any hair left on my head I would have pulled it out by now.

1. DVD Player and monitor are working properly.

2. The wireless control of Powerpoint via Bluetooth on a smart phone,
gmote OK but it is difficult to go backwards.
Team Viewer is good but the mirroring of my desktop on a phone is slow.
PPT remote works well but costs a massive £3.99.

3. Extracting the images from a Powerpoint presentation to play them on an endless loop from DVD or data stick took a while. Saving the presentation in JPEG format works but the images are small and very low resolution. Saving it for HTML, extracts the images in a larger format and places them in a sub directory. (If anybody knows a better way, keep it to yourself, well at least for tonight)

4. Who knew burning DVD's on a PC that will play on a DVD player would be so troublesome.

Tomorrow we go on site and Install the KIT.....

So expect more whining.

Now to tidy the living room.
