Gwent derby.

Tonight, was rugby night. Newport have had 2 great results recently, beating Pontypridd and also Neath. Tonight they had a very hard task of making it 3 in a row. We were up against Crosskeys, our toughest Gwent rivals in their own back yard.

Newport have been the top team in Gwent for some time, but this year has been a very bad year for us, and for the first time in a long time we lost at home to Crosskeys. So tonight we were seeking revenge.

It started so well, with a try and a conversion to Newport in the first few minutes, but by half time we were behind 17 - 14. Not bad, I was happy with that scoreline seeing as we didn't have much possession. The 2nd half was a different story, I won't go into it, but lets just say is wasn't pretty. The final score was Crosskeys 51 Newport 14 :-(

Tonights image is one of my favourites, the Newport player (in black and amber) is our 2nd row Adam Frampton. I love the expressions and the position of the ball. Again the ISO is very high as the lighting was very poor, and I thought our ground was poorly lit.
