Roll Faster!!!

Today I was on a shoot for a new Sushi book.....I supplied the hands (that hopefully will demonstrate the techniques for rolling) and I was seriously wishing that the Sushi lesson I took weeks ago was still clear in my mind and would help me today.

Fortunately for me, and everyone else, our expert was at hand ;)

This is a hand rolled styled Sushi and more the type that the Japanese tend to make at home (so I was told), the more fancy stuff is usually bought already made.

Today the light was amazing again due to yet another lovely sunny day, so the natural light came in very handy, as did the big windows.

The morning consisted of me making a classic seaweed roll, followed by an inside out roll (which I just couldn't cut and totally messed up ;( and then a salmon Nigiri, ending with a seaweed cone! Unfortunately I didn't manage any snaps of my own hands in action ;)

The shot here is of the more "fancy" fillings you can use for your cones, as you can tell, I did not make these haha!

The afternoon then involved shooting and eating, then shooting and nibbling, followed by more eating!

It was a glorious day :D
