College football night

We drove up to Miami University late afternoon for their first football game of the season. It was a slow drive up since it was rush-hour. Our interest is primarily in watching the marching band, but over the years have developed an interest in the game too! It was a great evening for being outside - warm and dry. We were surprised to see several people we knew, - two couples from a church choir we sang in years ago, but we still see them from time to time, and a couple we know from church. The band were great, but the football team not so great. - the score was Vanderbilt 27 - Miami 13 when we left with about ten minutes still to play. This shot was taken during the pre-game, and most of the stands opposite did fill up with students, but most of the student spectators had already left before the end of the third quarter! Some of the people around us were getting really fed-up and very vocal! Anyway it was nice to see Laura playing in her new marching band uniform.
