HMS Oceanic Propeller

Good to visit the wonderful Shetland Museum and Archives in Lerwick this morning. This striking propeller blade sits just outside at Hay's Dock looking out towards Bressay Sound. It belonged to the HMS Oceanic, sister ship of the ill-fated Titanic. The ship ran aground and was wrecked off the island of Foula in September 1914.
