Roasting

Kim made the soup from the birthday cooking class we went to a while back. The first part is to roast some of the ingredients.

Speaking of food. Our friends from the cooking class are having an Iron Chef type of cook off in two weeks. It's the guys battling it out between ourselves for the coveted prizing of not having to wash the dishes. The not so secret ingredients are rum, shrimp and ribs. We have to prepare a drink, appetizer and main dish. Should be a lot of fun. I just hope I don't poison anyone. :)

The other big event of the day was taking Holly to her new school to see her classroom and 1st grade teacher. It helped her not be so anxious about starting next week.

Addie seems to be turning a corner with her recovery from surgery. Kim has been sleeping down stairs as Addie can't climb the stairs yet. How nice a mommy is she! Though, it's very weird to not have Kim in the bed.
