The blossom is out big-time around here, even if the sun and the warmth have gone away.

I have noticed that both blue tits and wood pigeons like picking the blossom off. I suppose there must be something sweet and tasty at the base of the flower which they snip and sup, leaving the flower to fall.

Thanks to the dull weather, this photo underwent hours of micro-surgery to make it vaguely presentable in public:)
