Learning how to communicate

Liam has very little receptive language (understanding of the spoken word). We are having to use pictures which are number sequenced to explain his daily routine. Once one activity has been completed the picture is removed and the next activity is displayed in order for him to move on to step 2. he understands about 6 consecutive sequences. If he really wants to do something in the sequence eg swimming he tries to rearrange the pictures so swimming comes next. Cheeky!!
