A little less wise
I made another of my frequent visits to the dentist today, which is always painful, but mainly on the wallet. Unfortunately because the system has changed away from the previous full NHS service, I have to be a private patient. I fell off a NHS list while i was out of the country and cannot get back on one.
Dentists only get paid a maintanence fee for people on the list not for the work they do. So no dentist will take on patients who need work, only those that don't. My dentist is excellent, but told me he could spend £20,000 fixing my teeth. I don't have that kind of money so limp on with emergency work as I can afford. This adds up to about £2000 per year, so hopefully in 10 years I will be getting closer to being fixed.
Today I had a new crown fitted and a wisdom tooth removed (pictured). It came out pretty quick and with all four roots intact (told you he was good). Still would have been nicer to have a 5D body with that money instead.
