Black and Blue Boy

The new time change kind of messed me up. I have been waking up at 7:15, 7:30. But, I woke up this morning at 8:30. A bowl of cereal, a redressing of the leg (leg not good), a big orange drink over ice, and out the door.

I was going to take Musings advice, and nail me some lizards. Higher AV, a change of the white balance, and too many other things to remember. Next time...I'll have to write them down. I would like to report that it was unbeliveable. Not quite, but it was better. I had a few keepers this time. The little mini crocodiles are just hard for me to get. A lot of people were out, and the bike ride was nice. 80 and sunny.

The garden center awaited. Palma Sola Botanical Gardens. They are closed on Mondays, but they do open their gates. Last week I asked them if I could have a GIANT downed palm frond...thinking about turning it into something artsy. My wife (who is up north) didn't even see how big it was, and she told me to get it out of the van. "But honey...what about my artistic vision?" "Use your vision on the 27 you brought home last year!! How many of those have you used?" I dropped the frond back off today.

Butterflies and moths were everywhere. I got one real nice shot of a monarch, but the monarchs were ticking me off. They almost tease you as they flitter about, never staying on one plant. "STOP THE FLITTERING!! I thought adding a title might help."STOP THE FLITTERING...YOUR HIGHNESS!!" Didn't work.

I settled on this guy because he at least stayed on one plant. Butterfly or moth? I have no answer. Love it when they seek out the pollen.
