I, as much as anyone, enjoy spending a little time on my own, but some days you just feel truly alone. Today is one of those days. No matter where I am in the world, nothing can compensate for it. Yes, I have friends, colleagues and acquaintances here on the ship and No, I have no complaints about where my life has taken me but without my family and especially without my sweetheart I am always going to feel a certain sense of loneliness.
