These old wooden stretchers are a recent acquisition and were given to the studio when their former owner died. The canvas has been cut from the middle of each stretcher but it is still possible to guess what they might have looked like when the were complete.

It might seem strange but when they arrived it felt like Christmas, and I prefer the fact that they have a history rather than being brand new.
