First bloom

I had the most wonderful photo op today of a wood pigeon sitting pretty on a wire all of 50m from my house. I, of course, had no camera on my person as it sat there because I was returning from a run. By the time I made it into the house, grabbed my camera and ran back out, it was, needless to say, gone!
So I had to hunt for a pic today. So into the garden I went, not overly optimistic that I would find anything amidst the grey and brown when lo and behold I found these little gems. The first flowers in our garden this year, hidden away in a shady corner under the old remnants of last years blooms.
