Girls weekend in Bath
Day off on Friday and the afternoon had me booked it for a spa afternoon at Longleat Aqua Sana. Tried a few steam rooms but didn't feel right trying to breath in the steam so I didn't last long - found a nice sauna instead! Sarah found a nice little hotel/inn so we reminisced over dinner to the 80's soundtrack in the background - we've been friends since we were 11 so there was a lot to reminisce about!
On Saturday we got the park and ride into the centre of Bath - picked up a few bargains then had lunch at the spot in the photo (was not a photography weekend sadly...and I don't really have the shopping gene). Lunch was a cherry shortcake biscuit and a cup of tea....lovely. Late afternoon we decided to go to the cinema. The address was Kingsmead Complex so we reasoned was probably one of these out of town leisure complexes after all, what town has a cinema in the town centre any more. So - we get on the park and ride bus, get to the car, turn on the Sat Nav for the cinema, follow the directions........back to Bath Town centre - pretty much behind the Park and Rise bus stop......bu@@er!!! So refusing to pay £10 to park we went back to the hotel and read for a while then went to dinner...turns out they only have 1 CD. Back to the room to watch The Wedding Date with Dermot Mulrooney....almost as appetizing as my biscuit lunch.......yummy
