Tale of Two Buildings

This morning I 'discovered' and really looked at, a building, the B-listed Albert Chambers, caught in the embrace of the Buchanan Quarter building site, formerly unfamiliar to me because I rarely use that particular bit of Bath Street. This red sandstone building looks fully occupied and much better placed than when it was part of a block in decay.

I was on my way to my morning's project, to collect my blip for today, the saddest of contrasts ...... the amazing, derelict, A-listed Lion Chambers in Hope Street, a building ever more at risk

How can this building be saved? Should it be saved, or do we say that as a city evolves, there have to be casualties as well as benificiaries?
