Troika Pot

Troika is a well known pottery, established in St Ives in 1963, then moved to Newlyn from 1970 to 1983 when it closed. Troika pots are very recognisable by their shape and designs.

I found a gallery in Marazion specialising in Cornish pottery and art works. Couldn't resist buying this pot. The potter was Simone Kilburn, made sometime between 1975 and 1977 and is described as a 4 x 4 inch cube pot.

I'm very pleased with it, not only do I like it, but it reminds me of my week in Cornwall.
