Shall We Dance? Moomba 2012

'Tis a long weekend (which means an extra blip day for me) and it's the last day of Moomba ...... that means the Moomba Parade. The parade is proof that Moomba is a celebration of all things Melbourne. There doesn't seem to be a particular theme, just lots of floats relating to food, cultures and partying. Ofcourse there are a few good bands, firetrucks (obligatory and extremely popular) and people on bikes or skates! The parade winds its way along St Kilda road before stopping at the festival grounds in the city. It is bright, colourful and lot's of fun!

No surprise then, that todays' blip is of, (......wait for it.....), part of the costumes for one of the cultural dancing groups. It was quite a marvelous things to see all of these people in different cultural dress chatting to each other .... and chatting to the people dressed as liquorice allsorts and fruit - not to mention the Navy and police bands thrown in. What an ecclectic conversation it must have been - made me smile watching it either way!
