Cromwell

A collection of buildings from the original main street of Cromwell which disappeared in the early 1990s when Lake Dunstan was created behind the Clyde Dam. Some buildings were rescued and rebuilt on the higher site, other buildings have been built from scratch. The buildings are tenanted by a variety of businesses which give visitors the opportunity to enjoy a coffee, lunch or dinner or browse through a selection of galleries and craft shops. There are interactive displays in some of the buildings which give a brief history.
