and the sun came out...

...after hiding behind storm clouds for nearly two days. And it brought with it this butterfly. Which I'm afraid might have gotten worn down by the storms because it was not doing too well when I photographed it. I felt a little bad about taking advantage of its seemingly permanent spot on the ground. But its colors and wing design were too good not to capture. And even though its life might not last much longer, at least I've preserved it in my pictures. Or so I can tell myself to make me feel better.
