Not a Lone Tree

After a strenuous morning gardening, I spent a more leisurely afternoon walking in the woodland. Many trees including Birch, Larch, Bird Cherry, Hawthorn and Alder are coming into leaf, primroses are in full flower and I saw my first wood anenome, which I blipped but it was out of focus!
This young Birch tree is one of over 900 trees that were planted this time last year, it's new leaves looked so fresh and green against a background of dead Fernane grass, there are very few casualties amongst the new planting, which is great, although there will be quite a bit of work in keeping them free of brambles!
