Glossop Memorial
The Glossop Memorial is named after the Reverend Glossop, the Vicar of Isleworth, in 1870.
It just seems a very strange memorial to have a lamppost stuck out of the top of a plinth. It used to provide drinking water for passers by but like all drinking fountains it has been capped off. Once upon a time, using the water for any other purpose would have got you a £5.00 fine, probably not an inconsiderable sum whenever that rule applied.
(And I daresay I'm not the first of the local blippers to capture this!).
