The roadside, Rhynie to Dufftown

It is amazing the old monuments and memorials you can find in the middle of nowhere. This road, from Rhynie to Dufftown in north east Scotland, is famous for closing every year with the first of the winter snow.
But this very handsome monument came as a surprise. It stands on the side of the road and was built using surplus funds from a bazaar held to pay off the debt on six bridges built on the road.
Bet they wouldn't do that with the money nowadays.
