Buds
It is a well known way to cut stems and branches of plants and shrubs and put them in the water. You often see coming new roots after a while.
This is a photo of such an attempt. It is a small glass with sprigs photographed in the sun in the ratio 1:2. But whatever comes, no roots. To my surprise there came new buds under the surface of the water.
The water in the glass is most of the day in the shade and looks crisp. Until the sunlight is directly shining in it. Then you see a lot of small bubbles and dust particles in the water.
The concepts of new roots, sunlight, and new buttons, make this a real spring blip to me ... ;)
Large is great!
