Grape Hyacinths

Following yesterday's cultivated hyacinth, here are its lesser cousins growing on top of our garden wall, with paler blue sea and sky as a backdrop.

It's been a gorgeous day - sat in the garden with a book for some time this morning, in a vest top, it was so warm; then we had lunch al fresco; then spent all afternoon gardening. Phew! Should have done things the other way round, really, and wound down as the day progressed, but there we are.

This evening will probably involve sleeping through the telly ...
