Here Be Dragons
This is the bridge that links my college to the rest of campus. The building that you can see on the other side of the bridge is the library (well, one building of three!)
I describe Alcuin by saying that if you envision the University of York as an old fashioned map Alcuin (my college) is the part of the map labeled "here be dragons" because it is certainly unexplored territory.
Whilst Goodricke and Halifax also have a fair claim to this title, but I think terra incognita (unknown land) and terra australis incognita (unknown land of the south) respectively suits those two slightly better.
So beware when you venture into Alcuin; for here be dragons. Or at the very least the feared Alcuin bunny rabbit.
