Set-to

I discovered a few months back that when my great grandfather was city engineer he was responsible for laying a lot of the sets that are around Edinburgh. I also hadn't realised that what I'd been calling cobbles were in fact "sets", I think because they're regular unlike cobbles.
Anyway, I imagine the name of the patent I can't quite make out here, probably belongs to someone else's great grandfather. It may warrant a little more research. Of course, it may not.
