Salts Mill

We cycled this morning to Salts Mill in Saltaire to get a couple of birthday gifts, browse the books and look at the latest Hockney exhibits.

This is a wonderful building that allows you to browse a wide range of literary and arts materials in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It's now a World Heritage site (along with Saltaire). It opened as a working mill in 1853 and was the biggest factory in the world, employing 3000 workers who used 1200 looms.

The cycle shop and Early Music shop around the corner are also worth a visit!
