Heritage

There is a cottage at the heritage village. It was moved from Denham Street in 2009, with it's contents, among which were old photographs of the family dating back to the 1800's. It was never connected to electricity, being lit by kerosene lamps and heated by the stove.

I'm not sure where the church came from - there was a service already in progress. I could hear All things bright and beautiful, followed shortly after by Jerusalem.

The hymns took me back to school assemblies, the cottage back to my great aunts house which was stove heated. I didn't think much of her outdoor dunny. Especially after dark.
