SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Or in the water.

If you look carefully you can just see the eye of the female Teal as the male holds her head up whilst mating. Jolly decent of him!

We went to Sizergh and saw the Hawfinches we missed the other week, and then on to Leighton Moss where we saw lots of other birds so it was a successful outing. And the light was fantastic so I took rather a lot of photographs!

The day had its sad moments though. We spotted an injured lamb. I went to find the farmer and when he came it was obvious that the poor wee thing would have to be put out of its misery. We tried to console ourselves that had we not seen, it would have suffered for longer; and it was a twin so at least mum still has one lamb.

It also would have been my brother's birthday today, thinking of you D x
