We had guests over for lunch today. Susanne and Rafi, to be exact. I made a dessert I've never made before (risky, I know). I discovered them in a sandwich place in South Kensington. They are pastry delights with a sort of custard filling and meringue top. I found a rather sketchy recipe online and managed to adapt it.

This is the result. They were considered to be very nice but could possibly be improved with a bit of apple.

I don't know why they're called Jesuita.
