Roller disco

Today no1 son went to his 1st roller disco for a friend's birthday. He started off very wobbly and I have to admit I did wonder if he'd give up. But before long he was off on his own, asking how to go faster!

He certainly put me to shame. I haven't been on skates for a very long time and even then only the old style ones with 4 wheels in the the corners, not these new fangled in line ones. I decided to try them tho.

I did one lap of the hall clinging on to my friend like my life depended on her and then decided to stop. Curiosity satisfied - I cannot roller-skate!!!!

So now I have 2 choices - to put it down to experience and know in the future that it's just not for me, or get myself down to the rollerdisco on a Saturday afternoon and practice, practice, practice... Hmmmmm?
