Another Languedoc year...

School

This is the old primary school in Roujan. It was in use until about three years ago when a new school, designed by the mayor's son [no comment], was built lower down in the village.

My lovely niece and nephew, Poppy & Josh, went to this school; they live in the same road so it was only a few paces away. The school did very well by them, nurturing these two English-speaking children, of 8 and 10 years old respectively, to confident bilingual students. They are now 17 and 19 and citizens of the world thanks to this caring place, along with the local Collège and Lycée.

It's always struck me as the perfect looking school, solid and secure whilst looking soft and familiar.
