Plover
After shooting the sunrise this morning from the bedroom window I felt like getting out there into the open air so set off for a walk across the bridge with a beautiful blue sky, not much wind and a nice temperature. It suddenly dawned on me yestereday while lying at the pool that when I'm living in the UK this will no longer be an option! This put a dampner on my day. Swimming in warm water and having blue skies has been part of my life forever. It's hard to imagine not having that anymore. It's amazing how a blue sky can lift your spirits! Well we'll just have to try and deal with that in a few months time I guess.
Here's some pics of what I took in along my walk, see here
I am still trying to come to grips with identifying waders which are new to me. To me this looks like a Kentish Plover but the expert says it's a greater sand plover (I think it's too small for that) so maybe a lesser sand plover? Any ideas.
